TV - Few of my Favs !

So I have a "few" favorite shows.... Fall TV is of course in full swing and I am mostly enjoying them all.  I did get into, again, a "few" summer shows, so here's a quick rundown of my TV viewing selection:
  • Mad Men - My number one fav. I have watched it since season one, back when even more people asked "What's That?".  Started watching because of my interest in advertising/marketing.  The characters have unique characteristics that make the show flow so nicely and get you hooked. They hve evolved in so many different ways since the start. You have to watch it.
  • Bones - A long time fav - lost track of the series somewhere in the middle but started watching again a season or two ago. It's a show that is written so well. The Bones/Brennan relationship pulls you, holds onto you, only to set you down gently and wait for it to come about again.
  • House - Another long time fav - This show was in need of a change and seems to have come around full circle, minus the vicaden.
  • Castle - This show made the cut, it's in season two now.  About a writer that gets to follow a cop around.  This cop is his muse for the new book he is writing.  The classic cop pair, Castle and Beckett but the show has a fun but serious tone to it and well.  The business and personal side of things keep it intersting.
  • Brothers & Sisters - This show depicts so real life family drama, a little over the top but i am sure there are families with this kind of drama out there.  Everyone is so well put together yet almost all of them are falling apart inside.
  • Grey's Anatomy - What can I say, you either love it or hate it.  Been watching for only two seasons but have fallen hard for Grey's.
  • Private Practice - Last season was my first for PP, but again they got me hooked.
  • The Mentalist - Simon Baker, Simon Baker, Simon Baker...  and those other people on the show.
  • Law & Order: SVU - This is a long time fav that i watch occasionaly, just hanging on because the Stabler and Benson duo is so good.  It did need a pick me up and i think the star filled cast just might do it for me.  Erik McCormick was great and i finally watched an entire episode again.
  • Southland - New one from last season, coming back in a few weeks.  This was an ER replacement, sort of, really got hooked on the realism of the show.  A cop drama. They dug deep into some characters yet have only scratched the surface with others.  Very excited for it's return.
  • CSI: NY - Another i am sticking with because of the lead duo, have not watched a full episode this season yet.
  • The forgotten (New Fall 09) - I fell for Christan Slaters last new season, and falling again.  Show is about a network of volunteers that investigate "Jane/John Doe" cases from the time the case goes dead until they are buried, unknow and unnamed. Intersting cast. Episode one was painful but ok since then.
  • Modern Family (New Fall 09) - LOL Funny. So many "modern" and real family situations. The first episode has hubby and i peeing our pants.
  • Dark Blue  (New Summer 09) - Dark, Deep Undercover with Dylan McDermott and his team. Something different about this show, the cast and plots - really enjoyed.  Not even sure the status but think it's coming back.  Missed the first couple episodes, after watching just one i was hooked and went back to watch those i missed.
  • Warehouse 13 (New Summer 09) - Since i missed Sully on Bones, wanted to watch him here.  Love the Pete Myka duo and the uniquness of the situations they get into.  Not sure the status of it's return. The last few episodes i lost a bit of interest and fast forwarded or skipped over some of the show.
  • In Plain Sight - All about Mary, her job and family.  Her hard ass, yet soft, personality keeps me hooked.
  • Leverage - Criminals helping those in need, Robin Hood for the present. a USA hit. Season two was set in Boston which was fun to watch them make up boston accents and senarios.
  • Obsessed - Makes me know how "normal" i am.
  • Hoarders - see above
  • Jon & Kate Plus 8 - Sad but true... an almost closet watcher, it is getting painful.
  • The Unusuals (Canceled) - Really fun, quirky crimes and characters. it's gone.

Gave these new fall shows watched but didn't stick:
  • NCIS LA - was excited to see Chris and LL on tv... couldn't even get through the first episode
  • Hank - blah
  • The Middle - eh
  • Cougartown - ok but no.

I was going to put a star next to the shows that contain one or more hotties - but there would be stars all over the place, rather distracting, I am sure you know who they are.

Anything not listed was not on my mind and/or my DVR schedule.  Not too much into the 1/2 hour comedy's, reality or soaps... but I could watch FoodTV all day long!

Do you watch "too much" TV ?  What are your favs ? When / Where do you watch your shows ?
