Around Christmas, my family and I talked about organizing a food drive for the food pantry at New Hope. Being the holidays, we soon ran low on time and instead, we “adopted” a family and filled food baskets at church. My son was very happy to fill the baskets and when I mentioned organizing a food drive later in the year, it piqued his interest. I contacted New Hope about the possibility, and the director suggested we organize a food drive in March, because that’s when the pantry is close to empty. So here we are!
You can help by donating items directly to New Hope that are needed most such as canned vegetables, canned fruits, white rice, macaroni and cheese, cereal and tuna.
