The triathlon. My first complete sprint triathlon. As i sit here typing I think back to the tri I am happy and proud of myself but admittedly at the same time, empty. I’m not sure how to explain it any other way. I suppose I miss all the fun that came from training, the days and months leading up to it.
just have to remember….
Expert from my July Newsletter: “I did it. It was not about the chip time – thanks goodness – because it was not spectacular but it was a challenge. There was so much more to this event than the numbers. Running next to Team Hoyt and other awe-inspiring Para-athletes was humbling. High fives, words encouragement from many and my 4yr old beating me to the finish line was the best. A runner that was very close to the finish line, while I was biking, screamed out “Let’s go #43, you got this!” Come on. Amazing. I could talk your ear off about it, believe me.
I’ve been focusing on that triathlon mentally since last year, physically pushing myself in the last few months, now I am a Triathlete.”
