The boys were intrigued from the moment they arrived at the house. They had to hold off until the following night to bake them up, I made them all aware there was no touching without me !! It’s a good thing because they probably would have eaten them all in the 24 hours before….
We opened the plain bagel with cream cheese filling and pretzel stuffed with beer cheese filling Middles first. “Beer Cheese? Can I eat that?!” the 8 year old asked. I read the directions and decided baking for an “Incredible Experience” was the only way to go! Spread them on a cookie sheet, sprinkled on the pretzel salt and into the oven they went for about 9 minutes. When done the Plain Middles were slightly crispy and warm to the touch and the Pretzel Middles were oozing with yummy cheese.
There were a couple Plain Middles with little to no cheese, but most were right on. So much cream cheese filling. My favorite so far was the Pretzel Middles, sooooo delicious. Like a hot pretzel straight from the county fair. Not long after they came out of the oven there were none left in sight 🙂
Comments from FB: “Excited to try these new things …he’s been waiting since yesterday Wait, what beer cheese, can I eat that?! ...if we had sauce we could make them pizza middles... #stoplickingthemfrozen #boy#8yrold #SneakPeek #TastyMiddles@tastymiddles #bloggerperk #freestuff #food#tastetester #myfridaynight”
It wasn’t until I arranged all the boxes of Middles for the photo they realized how many variations we were able to sample! “Mom. Wait, we have alllll these?!” … they were both overjoyed. I said we could make some more tomorrow, as that was enough testing for tonight.
The next morning the 12 yr old wanted the French Toast Middles. I gave him some quick instructions and he was getting them into the oven before I could stand up ( which is fine by me :)…. OMG those were as amazing and tasty as the Pretzel Middles. Crispy outside and sweet cream inside, me and the little guy grabbed a couple each as we ran out the door to register him for football!
The 12 yr olds all time favorite food is Mac & Cheese, those are next on the list to try this week!
